Hyper-pigmentation
Is microneedling painful?
Typically, microneedling is a little uncomfortable, but this is managed easily with a topical numbing agent applied prior to treatment.
How quickly does it work?
Clients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes develop over the course of several weeks and months as collagen begins to remodel. You may need several treatments over a 3 to 6 month period. Treatment results are cumulative so multiple treatments are recommended for noticeable results. Acne Scar patients usually will need 3 to 8 treatments.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Microneedling can be used on all parts of the body, including the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.
How will my skin feel after treatment?
Your skin may feel tight and feel like a mild-moderate sunburn for 24-48 hours. Do not use any acids or other exfoliating products outside of the treatment protocol given to you by your Aesthetician.

Microblading
How do I prepare for an appointment?
24 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.
72 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin or Vitamin E unless medically necessary.
Botox should be done 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the procedure.
Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase your pain.
No waxing, tanning or tinting 7 days before.
Arrive with no makeup for your appointment. A lot of wiping of pigment takes place and makeup can get ruined, so save yourself the hassle!
Be prepared for your brows to look a little red and really dark! Don’t worry, they will fade in color and thickness 15-40%.
You are NOT a suitable candidate for this procedure if you are:
Pregnant
History of Keloids or Hypertrophic scarring
Diabetic (not under medical management)
Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
Viral infections and/or diseases
Organ transplant
Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
Accutane in the past 6 months
Allergy to topical anesthetics used for this procedure
Have upcoming vacations or special events shortly after procedure
Poor general health
Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system / healing would make you NOT a good candidate for micropigmentation procedures (unless cleared by Physician).
How long does a microblading treatment take?
Microblading is a 2 step process, usually 6-8 weeks apart. It is important to complete both the initial procedure and touch up.
STEP 1: The initial procedure takes approximately 2.5-3 hours. During this time, a consultation is done where we discuss your desired brow look, choose a color tone and draw the initial outline of the procedure area for your approval. Once you are satisfied with the basic shape and symmetry, the area is then traced over and treatment is perfomed, using a disposable microblading tool.
STEP 2: The second stage of the treatment is a TOUCH-UP appointment. The touch up is included in your initial service cost. Touch ups are done no earlier than 5 weeks of your initial procedure and no later than 10 weeks. If you do not schedule your touchup within 10 weeks, you will be required to pay a touch up fee outlined in our touchup schedule.
It is IMPERATIVE you complete the touch up treatment. Without it, the results will not be optimal. Colour will fade significantly within 4 weeks as the skin heals, peels and fades. The touch up corrects any irregularities in the microbladed hair strokes, color tones and finishes the process.
**Occasionally a third touch up (4-6 weeks later) is necessary for certain clients where the pigment does not take as well to the skin.**
How long can I expect it to last?
The pigment used in microblading is “semi-permanent” and can last between 1-3 years. The pigment will begin to fade within 12 months. In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months to 24 months maximum. After 2 years, full price for microblading will apply.
Clients who did not follow the after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.
Known Factors that may cause your microbladed brow tattoo fade faster:
Sun exposure
Exfoliants
Exposure to salt water
Smoking
Are Semi-Permanent Eyebrows deemed permanent?
Technically, semi-permanent micro-pigmentation is considered permanent because the colour is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, so it naturally fades over time.
Does the application hurt?
We take every precaution necessary to ensure the microblading procedure is as comfortable as possible. A topical anaesthetic cream is used during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable while others report no discomfort at all.
How long is the recovery or healing time?
Immediately after your microblading procedure and in the first 10 days, your brows will appear significantly darker and defined than perhaps your desired look. It may continue to get darker over the next few days as small scabs begin to form, however this is not an accurate indication of the finished and healed result. 15-40% of your brow color will fade as the scabs fall off within 7-14 days. In some cases, the scabs may take longer to heal and fall off. DO NOT PICK YOUR SCABS. The pigment is within the scab and you do not want to pull any pigment out of your skin prematurely. We all heal differently and what works on one client may not be effective on another so please do not compare your results. Follow your post care instructions, given at your initial treatment.
The complete healing process takes approximately 6 weeks.
How do you choose a color?
We choose a color together by applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. As a rule of thumb, we closely match the color of your brow hair rather than your current hair color for the most natural results.
What types of pigments do you use?
We use iron oxide pigments that will fade over time and are naturally absorbed by the skin. Iron oxides are innocuous, harmless and perfectly safe for your skin.
Can I have my brows microbladed if I’m pregnant?
No, you cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant or nursing.
Does it hurt afterwards?
The area can be a little sore for the first few hours and tender to touch for a few days.
Can you micro blade over an existing brow tattoo?
Microblading can be done over an existing brow tattoo, however the old tattoo must be significantly faded for the hair strokes to show through and look natural. Please advise if you have an existing tattoo and submit a picture to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.
Will my microbladed brows look fake?
NO! Semi-permanent makeup is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than topically applied cosmetics.
Are there any side effects during or after the procedure?
During the procedure there may be some minor bleeding. This depends on the client. If you take blood thinners on a daily basis, then some slight bleeding may occur. Bruising is rare but can occur. There is usually some tenderness for a few days.
PLEASE NOTE: THE RESULTS ARE VERY NATURAL AND FULLER LOOKING BROWS. INITIALLY, THE BROWS APPEAR DARKER, BUT FADE SIGNIFICANTLY OVER A TWO WEEK PERIOD. IT IS ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL TO HAVE A TOUCH UP DONE. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PREDICT HOW WELL YOUR SKIN WILL RETAIN THE PIGMENT. DUE TO THIS AND MANY OTHER VARYING FACTORS, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR RESULTS.

Scalp Micropigmentation
What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles or short hair stubble. If you are starting to thin, recede, or if you are completely bald, we can give men the look of a short buzz cut, and women the look of thick full hair.
How much does Scalp Micropigmentation cost?
Our pricing is based on the level of hair loss, which is different for each client. Typically, the price ranges between $750 - $4,000. We recommend setting up a free consultation so we can evaluate your case and provide a personalized price quote based on your hair loss needs.
Is Scalp Micropigmentation detectable?
Scalp Micropigmentation has become such an effective hair loss solution because of its consistently natural and undetectable results. We pride ourself on the ability to seamlessly replicate each individual hair follicle to create a perfect match for each client.
How many treatments should I expect?
Scalp Micropigmentation should never be considered a one treatment process. Most clients can expect between 2-4 sessions to complete their treatment depending on the extent of hair loss or scarring. These treatments are usually spaced about 10-20 days apart.
How long does Scalp Micropigmentation take?
The Scalp Micropigmentation treatment typically takes 2-4 hours per session depending on your degree of hair loss.
How long do the results last?
After completion of your treatment (2-4 sessions) a client should expect the strength of the color to last for many years. Over a longer term, a client will very gradually begin to notice slight lightening (not discolor) of the treatment. When this occurs they can undergo a brief “touch up” session to restore any fading and secure many more years of their style.
Do I need to take time off work?
Scalp Micropigmentation is non-invasive and requires no down time. In most cases, you will not need to take any extended time away from work, school, or other functions. After treatment it is common to notice slight redness on the scalp for 2-3 days post session. This redness subsides quickly and most clients return to work either right away or within a couple days. Clients are also allowed to wear hats or headwear should they feel the need.
Is Scalp Micropigmentation permanent?
Scalp Micropigmentation is a form of permanent cosmetics or permanent makeup. Often referred to as a cosmetic hair or scalp tattoo, this treatment typically lasts 4-6 years. After that time, a client may experience some slight fading, to which they can come back in for a quick touch up. This cosmetic solution will not wash off but can be tweaked as years go on. We always recommend meeting with our experienced expert practitioner to discuss your treatment options.
How do I choose a hairline?
If you are unsure of what style or type of hairline will work for you, your treatment specialist will be there to help. With artistic experience on how to fit a hairline to head shape and age, your specialist can help recommend what’s best. Over the course of your sessions you can also tweak and adjust the hairline for a perfect result.
Will it change color like tattoos?
No. Scalp Micropigmentation is a form of permanent cosmetics, but unlike tattoo ink, the pigment is designed to fall within the same color spectrum of short cut hair. The pigment contains no additional colorants or additives and will only lighten, not discolor over an extended time.
If I have hair left, can I leave it long?
Depending upon the pattern and extent of the thinning hair, some clients are able to maintain a longer length of hair. Scalp Micropigmentation can help thicken areas so that less of the scalp is seen showing through. However, if there is a strong pattern of hair loss or just not a lot of hair density left, the client is recommended to crop it shorter.
Will Scalp Micropigmentation work with gray hair?
Yes, those with gray hair can still benefit from the Scalp Micropigmentation procedure. First, most clients are recommended to cut their hair to a short buzzed length. When this is done, gray hair does not appear as gray because the hair root itself is darker. Hair only shows gray as it gets longer. Second, we use a gray-scale pigment that can be adjusted in shade to blend with lighter hair tones. We simply create a lighter dilution for blending into the existing gray hairs.
Can Scalp Micropigmentation camouflage my transplant scar?
Yes! By replicating tiny hair follicles inside the scarring and blending the color around the scarring area, transplant and surgical scars can see massive improvement in concealment.
If I am lighter or darker skin tone will this treatment still look good?
Yes! We are able to match the shade of our pigment to a wide range of skin tones. Whether you are Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic, Asian, or Pacific Islander and much more...Scalp Micropigmentation can work for you.
How long until I can sweat after the Scalp Micropigmentation treatment?
We recommend no heavy sweating or intense exercise for 4-5 days after your Scalp Micropigmentation treatment.
Does the Scalp Micropigmentation procedure hurt?
For most clients, the pain is minimal and it's consistently less painful than traditional tattoos. After your session, you won't experience any further discomfort.
Is Scalp Micropigmentation for long hair?
Scalp Micropigmentation is used to add density to thinning areas. We are able to add thickness to areas common areas like the crown, hair parting and more. For people that are using Scalp Micropigmentation to rebuild their hairline, we recommend keeping your hair short for a more balanced look.
Can I still use Propecia and/or Rogaine after my treatment?
Clients can continue using Propecia during and after their Scalp Micropigmentation procedure. Rogaine (topical minoxidil) should be suspended during the course of treatment and for 30 days post your final session. This is to ensure the proper healing and settling of pigment without interference of the chemicals found in Rogaine foam.
Can you help with hair transplant FUE/FUT scaring?
Yes! We use our specialized Scalp Micropigmentation technique to deposit color matched pigment into the scar to reduce visibility.
Do you charge for a consultation?
No, we offer free consultations for anyone looking to learn about how Scalp Micropigmentation can help their hair loss.
Do you have Scalp Micropigmentation Before and After Pictures?
Yes, please check out our Gallery Page which shows our client's before and after images. (Here)
How long until I can scrub, shampoo, or shave the SMP treatment area?
We recommend no scrubbing, shampooing, or shaving over the treated area for 4-5 days after your Scalp Micropigmentation treatment.
Can I wear a hat after my Scalp Micropigmentation treatment?
Yes, you can wear a hat or a skullcap after your Scalp Micropigmentation treatment is complete. However, we hope you won't be wearing them as much!
Can I go in the pool, sauna, or steam room after my Scalp Micropigmentation treatment?
We recommend you try to avoid chlorinated pools, saunas, steam rooms, and tanning beds for 28 days post final Scalp Micropigmentation session.
What is the difference between Scalp Micropigmentation vs. Tattoos?
There are three main differences between Scalp Micropigmentation vs. Tattooing:
1. We are depositing pigment into the skin at a shallower depth than tattoos, only about 2mm into the dermis
2. We are strictly making small micro dots through pointillism method, not shading or drawing lines
3. We use only a black pigment which is much more diluted than typical tattoo inks. For this reason, it won't break down to different colors or look too saturated once it heals.
Will Scalp Micropigmentation grow my hair back?
No, the Scalp Micropigmentation treatment will not grow your hair back. However, the SMP treatment will give you the look of short hair or a tight buzz-cut. We recommend keeping your hair at a shorter length to create the most natural outcome.
