What is microneedling?

Microneedling is one of my all time favorite treatments! It is a professional skin treatment that integrates the use of small sterile needles to prick the skin stimulating an automatic healing process. Following the procedure is the natural formation of new skin tissue and increased collagen production leaving the skin texture more firm, smooth and even. There is minimal downtime with results comparable to laser and it’s appropriate for all skin types.

What does microneedling treat?

Microneedling is ideal for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, appearance of large pores, acne scars, surgical scars and hyperpigmentation. Its also a great option for stretch marks (better than laser in my experience, for most cases).

What’s the down time?

There is a very short healing period - expect you may look like you’ve got a sunburn for a day or two (back to work next day with makeup).

Why is the winter an ideal time to book your treatment?

Although you are able to have this treatment any time of year, scheduling your microneedling treatment in the winter is ideal as there is less UVB ray exposure. During the winter months, we are typically inside more and the skin is less susceptible to outside environmental elements especially from the sun. As always, refer to your aftercare instructions from myself or your experienced aesthetician.

How do I know if it’s right for me?

I recommend scheduling a complimentary consultation to address your specific needs. We will be able to determine whether you are a good candidate, and collaboratively set up a plan for your treatment goals.
