How To Reduce Puffiness For a Lifted and Contoured Look

New Blog - Contour.png

We have all had those days waking up parched and puffy from the night before. We look in the mirror and say, “Yikes! What happened!?” Not a cute look. Taking a few key steps during your day before laying down for bed will greatly reduce your chance of waking up with a puffy, bloated and dehydrated face. Read to the end because I also have a few tricks to share if it was a butter popcorn, extra salt while binge watching Netflix kind of night.

Check out my tips on how to reduce puffiness and get a refreshed, sculpted and glowing look.

  1. Avoid salty food and alcohol the day before. I know, such a party-pooper, right?! Avoid cured meats, salty snacks like chips, and dips such as soy sauce and fast food. You can still have your favorites like sushi, just hold all the salty sauces and ask for lemon wedges for flavor instead. Limit wine and other alcohol to one drink or skip it altogether. A glass of red wine may help to give a nice glow because of the antioxidant content (yay!) so if you want to enjoy a glass, choose a dry red.

  2. Snack on some papaya and pineapple. These fruits have natural enzymes which help to give a nice glow to the skin and reduce swelling and inflammation.

  3. Cleanse the skin with The Fresh Canvas Cleanser and pat dry. Next apply a couple pumps of Constitution Copper DNA Serum and gently glide from the center of the face outward starting at the forehead with your fingertips. Get even better results when gliding your skin with a facial gua sha tool. Next, apply Vital Eyes for a cooling treat to the eye area. These eye masks help to plump fine lines and give a smooth contoured look to the upper cheek and eye area. Lastly, sweep a little contour powder or bronzer slightly above the hollow of the cheek to give an illusion of a more sculpted and lifted look.

Have you ever tried these tricks? Do you have any that weren’t included in this list that you swear by? Let me know in the comments.
